T R O M P E L'O E I L (fool the eye) "MASTERING THE ART OF DECEPTION" Donald Clapper is the president and co-founder of the TROMPE L'OEIL
SOCIETY OF ARTISTS. He has shown his paintings in over 30 museum shows across the US. His works are known for immaculate
detail and exquisite handling of shadows. Each painting has an intriguing collection of objects that create a story.
Don is among the few artists in history that have attempted to paint paper money so real that you would be fooled to think
it was glued on the panel. His "Which is Which" stamp series are a fun challenge for the viewer since one of the
seemingly two identical stamps is painted while the other is a real one.
